New Rules New Program - Ancestry Affiliate Program

I am no. xx in terms of leads generated. Remember what I have always explained - it takes time to get leads to convert - I am not no. 20 or anywhere near that in terms of sales - but will be once the leads convert to that point.

Traffic + simplicity = leads x x%converting = sales. The more leads/registrations - the more sales.

Some of you have asked me to go into more detail on my comment that what used to be acceptable and even encouraged in the Ancestry.com affiliate program have now been banned.

Specifically I am referring to a whole new message and a new emphasis and driving new traffic to Ancestry.com In the olden days affiliates deep linked and created massive sites full of complex messaging and links. Many if not all of you continue doing this and refuse to talk to new family historians.

I have done this - in ten days - and I am now in the ranks of the top 20 and climbing.

I am no longer the affiliate manager - but the message remains the same. Ancestry.com is a powerful wonderful tool and many people don't know anything about it. Sell to them.

SEO.com

I am very excited that I will soon be working for SEO.com

I will be helping people by showing them what SEO can do for their websites.
As the affiliate manager at Ancestry.com we often gave tips on SEO but we were not truly the experts. I became very familiar with ways to improve search results via blogs - trial and error etc. I will now have the change to work with the real experts and become an expert myself.

One encouraging note is that the tips I gave were right on according to the experts - so if any of the affiliates read this and wonder - keep doing what I suggested and you should see results over time. If anyone wants some true experts - contact me and I can set you up.
